Rush hat weaving workshop

Spend two days learning how to weave your own sunhat made from rush, harvested by hand by me on the Somerset Levels.

You will learn how rush is harvested and prepared for weaving, and make your own sunhat on a block/mould using a variety of weaving techniques. The workshop is suitable for beginners, and those with some basket weaving experience.

I am waiting for the course venue TBC. However it is likely to take place close to West Linton.

Hot drinks will be provided. You will need to bring a packed lunch.
