Using Juncus - Brushes and Rattles

During this one day workshop we will begin to explore the use of Juncus species (eg Soft rush) as a weaving material.

You will learn some of the history of this well utilised material, and how field rushes are harvested, processed and prepared for weaving. We will focus on creating a number of brushes of different designs, and other small projects such as a rattle, however there will also be an opportunity to explore other ways of working with this material. The workshop is suitable for beginners, and those with some bsket weaving experience.

This course will be the first to take place in my new home studio. I'll email the location to you closer to the time.

Hot drinks will be provided. You will need to bring a packed lunch.
