About the event

During this one day workshop we will begin to explore the use of Juncus species (eg Soft rush) as a weaving material.
You will learn some of the history of this well utilised material, and how field rushes are harvested, processed and prepared for weaving. There will be an opportunity to focus on creating a number of brushes of different designs, and other small projects such as a rattle. The workshop is suitable for beginners, and those with some basket weaving experience.
I am waiting for the course venue TBC. However it is likely to take place close to West Linton.
Hot drinks will be provided. You will need to bring a packed lunch.
Please contact me prior to booking tickets for those under 18.
